Talking about your period is taboo, therefore talking about period products is even more taboo. Our culture has normalized shame around women's health, from handing your tampons/pads at checkout to talking about infections. This will prevent people with vaginas from discovering new period products. We created a children's book to be distributed to pediatric doctor's offices and the Scholastic Book Fair. Hopefully, this will make blood, wherever it comes from, less scary.
